The Louisiana Renaissance Festival supports artists and craftsmen when those artisans are available.  To be a merchant at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival you must start by filling out a merchant application, and submitting it to the merchant coordinator.

There are a limited number of Merchants slots available each year.  There are many factors that decide who can be a merchant at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival.  Here is a partial list of our preferred criteria:

1. Period Plausible product.  Does it look like it could have been made during the European Renaissance.
2. Static Presentation.  Overall booth appearance.
3. Interactive Presentation. How much does the merchant demonstrate or interact with patrons.
4. Demonstrations, is there an educational component to the booth.
5. Is the product hand made, in america.
6. Will the the artist/craftsman be working in the booth.
7. Is the booth owner easy to work with, and friendly.
